Revella Tech and Biosul Fertilizantes: additive technology that innovated in the adjuvant market

adjuvants

Always seeking to innovate its portfolio with adjuvant and additive technologies that meet the needs of industries and producers, Biosul Fertilizantes and Revella Tech have established a successful partnership that has lasted for years.

For over 21 years in the fertilizer market, Biosul has been active in plant nutrition, application technologies and biological inputs, pioneering the use of plant extracts and amino acids in most of its formulations.

Similarly, Revella Tech, a spin-off from TNS Nano, is a pioneer in the development of sustainable technologies and additives in micro and nanometric sizes for the various segments of agribusiness.

With the objectives aligned, the partnership has prospered, bearing fruit that is growing every day.

Joining forces to develop technologies and intelligent additives that make the means of production more efficient and productive, in order to guarantee greater safety from the rural producer to the end consumer.

About Biosul

Biosul Fertilizantes is a Brazilian company based in the city of Vacaria, RS, Brazil.

Over the years, it has never stopped modernizing and investing in new technologies, putting science at the service of nature to offer the best solutions for all types of crops.

In this sense, it has a broad portfolio that includes more than 60 products for grains, fruit, vegetables and flowers, among other products.

Tadeu Pontalti, CEO of Biosul Fertilizantes, was looking for innovative products in the adjuvants sector, and above all, products that were profitable and sustainable.

The businessman followed the latest news in the sector on a daily basis, and it was then that he got to know Revella's products and the partnership began!

The main idea is to bring products with enhanced action and performance to the field, increasing the productivity and vigor of crops.

Today, the partnership has grown, evolving into the development of new products, new tests and applications, as well as courses, fairs and events.

How does Revella technology work?

One of Revella 's biggest challenges was to demystify the use of nanoparticles in products such as fertilizers and adjuvants and the microencapsulation of active ingredients in agriculture.

Our technologies and additives consist of nanoparticulate materials, i.e. with nanometric particle sizes of 1 to 100 nm, which acquire properties and qualities that are different from their microparticulate versions.

This makes it possible to create materials with unique and improved properties.

And what is the benefit for agriculture?

When we reduce the size of the particles, we ultimately increase the contact surface area of the materials.

By obtaining more contact surface, we are increasing its properties and quality, such as the product's solubility and chemical reactivity with the environment.

As a result, the active ingredient is released slowly and in a controlled manner, making the processes more efficient and effective in supplying plants with nutrients and minimizing leaching.

This action is reflected in the final formulation, benefiting the forms of absorption as well as the translocation of the active ingredients by the plant structures.

New challenges and opportunities in the adjuvants sector

From the challenges came the opportunities, we know that different points of view lead us to look at new paths.

As with most crops and cultures (mainly monocultures), the use of agricultural inputs is indispensable, whether for seed treatment, soil management, basic fertilization, foliar fertilization, pesticides or even post-harvest.

Why not make the use of these products more optimized, conscious and sustainable?

This is what happened with the incorporation of Revella's technologies and additives into Biosul's products, adding advantages and differentials, resulting in an increase in the productive potential of crops and making life easier for rural producers.

Sales success

Today the market has high-tech products such as Velus and +QOil.

What is Velus?

+Velus has a nanotechnological solution stabilized in plant extracts, which contributes to plant growth, as well as being essential for plant metabolism and the formation of chlorophyll.

The synergy of Biosul's formula with the Arbo adjuvant also intensifies the flavor and color of vegetables and flowers, as well as acting as an enzyme activator in multiple routes of important functions in plants, in photosynthesis and respiration, for example.

What is Q Oil?

On the other hand, +Q Oil contains copper nanoparticles, which contribute to the availability of this micronutrient for crops.

The combination of Cyprium with this adjuvant, which is made up of emulsifying vegetable oil, does not cause phytotoxicity in plants and is a ready-made solution that can be added to spray syrups with other agrochemicals, for example:

  • Herbicides;
  • Fungicides;
  • Insecticides;
  • Acaricides;
  • Growth regulators;
  • Foliar fertilizers.
